Verisimilitude

Rachael Alexandra

--

Spreading throughout space,

I breathe in and hold the cosmos,
In my chest, for you.

My soul expands diaphanous,
To accommodate the infinite.

Encircling the invisible,
Through which we traverse

All that is, was, and ever could have been.

All that is naught,
All that is nigh.

You, me, us.

Of depth, of breadth,
And of the beyond.

The cosmos continue,
Their expansion within me.

I encompass the all
And the endless.

Taking it in so deeply,

That my seams fray.
The boundaries dissolve,

And I become nothing,
And I become everything.

I spun the blanket of night for you,
Eternal in my dreams.

I placed the stars that shine,
I placed them like so,
Just for you.

Drops of diamonds,
Topaz and sapphire,
Magnificently, they sparkle.

I curve around you,
Like a satellite.

Bound to your apparent gravity.
Yielding to the will of your well,

In your orbit, for always.

The mass of who you are,
Bends the fabric of spacetime,

So I warp and lense.

Distance between points
Is ambiguous in a curved space,

Timeless as daydreams
That have no mass.
