Erebus & Aether

I’ve lingered in darkness.
I wade through the black pools,
Gazing at the shadow of the valley.

I am familiar with what dwells within.
Made to be familiar with that space.

I dance with Erebus and his minions.
Though he is only my occasional lover,
He offers me comfort when I weep.
Though his touch is frigid, his kiss is decrepit.

When I feel most broken,
His power makes me strong.

When we part ways,
The farewell is swift,

Should I stay too long,
A dark crystal would be
Wrought from the prism
That I carry.

In the delicate womb
Of my heart.

The ways of winter will
Whet their icy appetites.
I abscond with a song
A wish for delight in my soul.

For underneath it all,

I am seraphim tenderness.
A breathing sacrifice, a gentle lamb.
A Ferris wheel ride of such..
That’s sweet and pure.

I am like the sunshine
On your skin.

My kiss is like the
Sweetest dessert.

My smile and my laugh
Make everything alright.

Like a bubble bath
After a long day,
My embrace is
Comfort
Embodied.

My love is like,
A principle of pleasure.
Bright and clear,
Like a rainbow
With diamonds
Woven throughout.

The reflection alive,
Spectrum splitting,
An infinite dazzling array.

Ethereal and as endless
As the heavens,
Until the edge of time.
Limitless, instinctive

Holding space,
For the desires
I wish to fulfill

My love is deep
As the core
Of the earth.

Molten in its passion,
The fire of what
Burns ever long.

Perpetual reaction of affection,
And adoration, unconstrained.

Warm and uplifting
Like a cup of hot chocolate
On a brisk fall day.

The ambiance of the
Midmorning sky blazing,
Myriad colors of the leaves
Transforming all around you.

Invigorating and refreshing
A crisp drink at the beach on a
Warm Summers’ day.

The ozone in the air
After a thunderstorm
Has passed.

A lush garden
Tended to thoughtfully
Green with vigor,
Natural vibrancy,
A perfect picture,
Abundant in beauty.

Like the soft
Petals of flowers,

A symphony of spring color.
Intoxicating and impassioned,
With vitality and life springing forth.

Cultivated, seeded, fed, and grown.
A bountiful harvest just waiting to be sown.

My love,
Is like that.
